Here is a in depth review of the Tanabe (T)and soon to be RS-R (R) springs. Today, after having the T for about 6 mos, we are switching out to the R. Also installing the SPC camber arms, Tanabe Strut tower bar and going to play with some side skirts.

When end I installed the T, I was impressed with the ride quality and the initial drop as compared to stock. I am running 20x9.5 f with 245/35/20 and 20x10.5 r with 275/30/20. Issue was that it rubbed from time to time probably due to either my offsets or tire size. Anyway 2 weeks ago, had to get new tires for the rear so went with 285/25/20. Rubbing stopped... Yes! Now wheel gap is back.. Smh. So, decided to try suspension set up version 2. Which will be the R. Everything being installed as we speak so will keep updating as it progresses. Oh the distance from ground to fender with the T was a bit uneven. It's in the picture above, now it could be because of install error (yes I did it myself) might not be. Either way it's in a pic above also. Once the R is on will snap some pics and be able see how the ride is different. Of course it's going to need some time to settle also.

So the difference in the front spring is really quite dramatic Tanabe vs. RS-R.. Yea she is definitely going down damn!

OVERALL GREAT! Side skirts didn't work out, car is dropped and settling initial measurements were 25.5 in the rear and 25 7/8 in the front...!strut bar is in... Handles likes like a dream.. Can definitely feel difference in ride quality when in sport + and normal mode... AND BONUS! I finally got the LED bulb put in my mirror!! Will post some life during daylight... Much happier with the drop the RS-R superdown provides over Tanabe.. Tanabe looks good and feel great.. But the RS-R look great and feel good...

After 200 miles initial reviewer the RS-R: the Tanabe springs were extremely comfortable, give a decent drop. Handling slightly improved. The RS-R, give a great drop.. Especially if you running aftermarket wheels, handling is improved significantly especially with the Tanabe strut bar in Sport + mode. However you are going to feel more of the road, which is good for those that drive the car spiritfully... They are two different options for two different types of people. If you want the full comfort aspect of Lexus, and a slightly aggressive stance... do Tanabe. If you want a semi stanced car that handles ****in awesome.. RS-R.

Favorite come up for the entire install i was able to was the swap the LED PUDDLE LIGHT.

The RS*R give the ultimate sport sedan comfort and ride.

You're not rubbing up front when you brake with the 245/35??? I've had issues in the past with that size I usually run 235/35

slightly...only on a big dip though.. I have a 9.5 in ch wheel though.. I am not sure if that will stretch or not
