I'm still another 2k miles away from my first service and the dealer isn't exactly convenient to get to. Anyone with experience, is this normal with the GS? Or is it something i should have checked out sooner rather than later? Thanks!
I have a 2013 F Sport that does the same thing. Took it to the dealer and couldn't get it to duplicate. Now it's so bad that it will be easy to duplicate. It sounds like a jalopy. I use it for business and occasionally have to drive people around. Very, very embarrassing. When I take it in I'll be letting them know that until it's fixed don't bother trying to give it back to me. Over $50K for a clunker!!
Oh, also, I had a 2003 GS 450 that did the same thing!

I'm taking my 2013 for an oil change and I also just started to have this noise. So they will check it tomorrow and let me know if my car is covered under the TSB.

Ok, so since I never use my sunroof in socal (go figure), I opened it and then closed it and vois la...no more clunking. It's been 10 days since I did it and I still have no clunk anymore. I would always have the weird clunking noise when hitting speed bumps or bumps where the wheels hit unevenly causing the chassis twist and clunk in the sunroof. We'll see how long this lasts.

LatinGSF, any did they fix your noise? Was it due to the sunroof?

So I got my car back on Saturday evening and the noise is gone. The tech insulated the contact points and now there is no more popping noise when I leave my driveway,

Yeah I was pretty embarrassed driving ppl around with it making that sound also. And of course right after I got the car everyone wanted to go for a ride and I know they heard it....

I have the same issue (coming from the back). I thought it was my struts as well but they are all fine. It must be the sunroof as you all said too! I love Club Lexus for this! Great write up! Too bad i'm turning in my lease today tho. I would have liked to keep it, but these little gremlins here and there just made me move on. I got into a Jeep SRT lease for an unbelievable deal. I still have my 2000 SC300 with the GTE/6speed swap, so i'll continue to be on CL, but glad to read the knowledge-sharing posts like this.
