I was thinking about switching to BC Racing. The last one I had lasted a very long time.

Knocking noises come from improper component seating. Just gotta remove and adjust everything again. Sometimes it happens if you hit a bump that is too big and the car goes higher than normal. Things will go out of place.

Also, as far as the rear coils guy saying he would bottom out. Absolutely, the subs are an issue. They're not light. One, you need a better installer, two, you need higher spring rate rears. This is one of the reasons why I always offer customizing on them. The standard spring rates are for a normal drop, NOT SLAMMED.

Reinstalled the rear suspension, mainly the springs - removed the stock rubber bottom bushing. Feels a lot better now. I think I'm done messing with the suspension now. The thunping sound must've been a loose bolt somewhere as its no longer present.

Digging up this thread to see if others have found a reasonable fix for this issue. I have the same BC sag in the rear with maxed out adjustment. Im thinking i should have gone with just a simple lowering spring and not spent the money on coilovers.

I've had no problems with BC coilovers on my EVO nor this gs350.

Oh yeah, they're pretty comfy too. It almost feels stock!
