I'm running 20mm on my AWD and they fit just fine with my stock 17" wheels.

I've had them on the car for about 3 weeks now and they have not changed the ride at all because they don't change the suspension itself. They just reposition the ride height.

You would be correct about 30mm having less gap than 20mm. However, if you have an AWD and you want to run 17" wheels you are limited to 20mm. The general report is that if you have RWD then you are limited to 25mm with 17" wheels.

In order to use 30mm blocks you would need to go to 18" wheels full time.

i just ordered a set of 20" wheels and those will be on my car really soon and may do 20mm blocks if that won't be an issue

That sounds like it would work just fine. If you never plan to go back to 17" wheels and keep the 20" wheels on for good then you can use 30mm blocks with no issue at all.

I would guess so since the spare tire does clear the calipers so it should clear the extended bolts from the 20mm RCA blocks.

I run 20's with a 20mm rca, currently my tires do rub. My old tires did not, it all matters on the tires. If you run square edged tires you will rub. You will need to do fender liner trimming, and maybe pinch weld grinding
