This guy is pulling a major fast one trying to say it takes 7 hours to install springs. Ridiculous. Go somewhere else.

Welp... Just got off the phone with the shop in South Philly. According to his system, the Active Suspension on the F Sport makes this an 8 hour job. So his estimate was $640. Does the Active Suspension really have that much bearing on this job? It seems like shops are using it as an excuse to boost the price. At this point I may scrap the spring ideas and just sell them. But what sucks is I just ordered spacers in anticipation of the car being lowered

Not really. The rear shocks don't even have to come off so those AS modules stay on. For the fronts, you just have to make sure you put them back on properly.

Any fellow CL members local to you that might be able to do the job? It's about 2-4 hours using floor jacks and jack stands.

There's no way it's an 8 hour job. I had springs installed and it took 2 hours tops!

I have a compressor that I have not used in ages. If there is a member in the sacramento, cali area who wants/daring enough to DIY on their car, I'm happy to help and provide the tools and garage space.

The diy guide was really easy to follow - as long as you have the right tools. Spring compressor is a must.

I was just quoted for $575.00 and $600.00 from another shop. I was told that it takes 3.0 hours for the front and 3.9 hours for the rear. I was thinking $250.00 tops but I guess I was wrong.
