Cincy - I was thinking that this shouldn't be normal since I have not heard of this issue from anyone else on this forum after lowering their car. However took it to the local Firestone for a second opinion (since the original body shop was already closed), and they told me that they did not see any problems with the installation of springs. They said give it about a week or two and it should go away...?

Glad they're not doctors... If me I'd get under and check/tighten bolts, and to see if springs are properly seated (rear) and/or properly oriented (front).

There should be no noise. If the noise was not there prior to the install, there shouldn't be one now.

sungzilla - that's exactly what was causing the clanking noise. I took it to a 'trusted" body shop and had them take a look at the springs. Sure enough, they found that one of the strut bolts was loose. Problem solved....
