Reading the air forums even the expensive units have PLENTY of issues. None of them are perfect even if they cost you 2 arms and 3 legs.

Did you look at your serial number and make sure you didn't get an old unit? The old units don't have the updated software. The problems you're having sound like the old software. Give them a call..they will take care of you..they can send you a new unit or just reflash yours.

It seems as though the unit comparable to it would be the switchspeed in terms of pricing anyway. While the controller doesn't look as good, in full manual mode, you can see your air pressures and tank pressures which is kind of nice without having to find a different location for a gauge pod or something else.

What numbers would signify the older models with issues? Removing the unit and sending it in would mean I'd have to put an air fitting on each line to be able to drive my car. Kinda sucks.

Yeah I've just been using it in manual mode because the presets just **** me off. I'm not sure the switch speed would have been any better considering its also pressure based, but I do like the Accuair controller better. I've been hearing about a wireless option for the Autopilot, but it doesn't seem to be happening very fast. If the switch speed had a "rise on start" option I would have went with that.

Live and learn. This was my first air setup. Now I know what I want in a system.

LOL...... that's one of the few things I don't use on my accuair system.... I didn't enjoy it very much on my car so I disabled it.

Like I said though, Press and go, I don't see a need for knowing my pressures .

FWIW, I even sold my ridetech pressure gauge too, before I even got to use it.

The rise on start feature? My wife likes to drive my car so sometimes so I WANTED a system that she could jump in and not have to worry about. Now I'm trying to explain presets and pressures to her and she's not very excited about the idea.

I think knowing the tank pressure is more of a safety thing. I've got little ones in the back and I don't need a tank exploding due to a faulty pressure sensor or a short. Rare as it is, as a parent I feel like I should be as safe as I can be when transporting precious cargo.

Part of what attracted me to the Autopilot was how complete it was. I wouldn't mind manual mode if I could drop it with just one button press.

It sounds like you'd be more fit for the Ridetech system. It comes with all pressures, presets, rise-on-start, and you can opt for leveling sensors.

It's the same price for the pressure based system as you'd pay for Accuair last I checked.... Add on the leveling arms for a few bucks extra and you're in business.

LMK how it goes lol.
