I've had my 06 GS300 AWD lowered with tanabe NF210 and I also have an SC camber kit. When I ride through certain dips in the ground it sounds and feels like the car is bottoming out, really uncomfortable. Is this normal? I don't know if the shop cut the bump stops or not or if they were even supposed to. I haven't mounted my 19 inch Vossens yet so I'm sure it could only get worse. Any help is appreciated.

if they didn't cut the stop, chances are that's probably what you're feeling. If it's just stops abruptly when hitting a dip.

How far should it be cut, sounds like a another long day of work

Yup. That's unfortunate if that is what happened. You almost have to do the whole thing over again. It says on the instructions, but it was something like 1/2" if I remember right.

yea sounds like the bump stops were not cut. i highly doubt your struts/shocks are blown already so that would be the only other option. typically you cut them in half

yupp I cut mine in half. im on tanabe df210s and bumps, bad roads, and potholes still feel like pillows. not as smooth as stock height but still comfortable.

In half? The bumps are nearly 3" long. Maybe it's a lot more for the DF210s, but I'm pretty sure I only cut 1/2" max for my NF210s, per the directions (maybe I need to dig those up and read again).

well there is a measurement in the instructions and I know its not half, but I've had DF210's installed in my civic before... I followed the instructions and it was hitting pretty hard on some bumps. I took them out to cut them again which equaled to about half of what it was before I cut them and it rode so much better! I know cars are different and what not but I just cut it in half again to save me from having to pull the strut out, compress the spring, etc. just my experience with them.

Well the guy at the shop says he cut the bump stops per the directions, now I guess the only option left is that my shocks are bad...

If your car rode fine before lowering, it's not your shocks.
What it's different about the ride now that it's lowered? You should expect to feel the road more....maybe a lot more depending on your roads.

I expect to feel the road more, but when I hit a dip it bottoms out and makes a loud bang...However philly roads are the worst...

Somethings not right. Did they remove the final bump stops on the A-arms? Doubt that...but

I'm not sure, I plan to let another shop look at them.
