Default Accuair vs RSR coilovers??

Alright new owner here, only 500 miles on my 2.5 wk old '14 Obsidian AWD F-sport. I'm at a crossroad here. Just purchased 20" Vossen CVT directional wheels. 20x9 et 38 on Hancook Ventus V12 245/35/20, and 20x10.5 et 45 on Hancook Ventus V12 275/30/20

I'm stuck between RSR coilovers or going with something real trick like an Accuair setup. What differences in price and complexity would I be looking at in terms of the air ride setup versus the classic coilovers?

I'm not sure which Accuair kit is ideal either. I appreciate any guidance folks can offer.

Welcome to the club! An air system is going to run anywhere from $3-5k. Coilovers I believe are around $2k. This is in regards to a RWD car though. I'm not sure if anything changes with AWD. Also, remember that you lose the sport+ suspension dampening with both of these setups.

Post pics of the new ride.

Just wanted to add something here.
ACCUAIR is just an air management system.
You would need an airbag suspension like AirRex or AirRunner which runs well over 3k
The ACCUAIR management will run you another 2k on up so it's like comparing a Corolla to an LS460 imho
You might want to go into your local shop so they can show you the differences

GoodLuck!

Dammit, I just put my foot in my mouth
I completely forgot that they started selling complete kits now

Either way the kit from them is around the mid 2500 range then you'll have to get a management kit which usually includes the tank, compressor, lines, and switches.

Then installation which runs about 800 on up depending on how you want everything installed. You're looking at least 4~5k on up for a good quality setup installed.

if I may offer this- I have no personal experience with either type, but I recently read an article with a guy reviewing an Accuair system in an Audi S4, and he liked the Accuair system BETTER than good coilovers- including for handling reasons and ride comfort..

That has really provoked my thinking. Aside from the loss of some trunk space, you may find it's more to your preference than coilovers. maybe not.

Yea I watched this vid with Matt from The Smoking Tire and this is truly what prompted me to take a look at Accuair.

CaptAmazin- I've seen that video too. Pretty compelling, IMHO.

Unless I'm mistaken, you also have the option to use mid to high-end aftermarket struts as well. So the sky seems to be the limit.

Yes Accuar is the management, they use different brands of struts. They have a complete kit for the Audi B8 only. I've driven GS's with both and it all depends on what you want and how much you want to spend. They both are great options.

I called Accuair today and they said they have a kit for the F sport using stock stocks and struts. This is good because we can still use our sport+ mode. What do you guys think, worth 3k or not...
