rear tire wearing out after lowering?

Sorry, I did not see your post. It seems that you have the correct specs for AWD, so you can ignore my previous post.
This is a really strange problem you're having. Normally lowering the car does not cause such excessive wear. With good alignment you should easily get 15,000 mi / 24,000 kl out of your tires. So, lowering is not an issue.
Question, have you checked the air pressure? An overinflated tire can sometimes wear out like that.

ok oem factory tires are 235-40-19 od is 26.4

3rd set of rear tires on the car getting 8-10 miles out of them
i am using these
285-30-20 rear od is 26.8

Hey,
Just a thought but could it possible be due to the different spring rates? The Tanabe's are made for the RWD, and the AWD is about 200 lbs heavier (don't know how that is exactly split in terms of weight distribution). I will be putting RS*R Down springs on my car next month and will report back, apparently RS*R has springs specifically for the AWD spec.
