Just a note... If your tire gauge is messed up, the ride can get harsh because the tires could be overinflated and not indicate as such. Also, using summer tires in freezing or near freezing temperatures can have adverse effects on ride quality as well; usually within the first few minutes of driving a cold car.

If worse comes to worse, your tires should be choppin' up pretty badly. That also indicates bad struts.... This is followed by that whomping noise that some people witness while driving.
