Default Prices to install springs gs300 awd

I just picked up a 2006 gs300 awd and want to put a set of Tanabe NF210 springs on it. I've gotten a few quotes from different places starting at $475 just for the install, with one place saying right $700 for install and an alignment. Seems kind of high to me, but I just wanted some feed back from you guys. I would hate to know that I paid close to a grand for some springs. Also, I am now considering BC coilovers. I also know that you have to pay to play.

it differs from shop to shop and region. i would expect to pay probably $300-$350 for the install then add the alignment on top of it, your probably looking close to $500 all said and done. that imo would be on the high side too.

WOW! That's awful high, IMO. I think $150 is fair but I dunno. Try doing it yourself. It's not really hard at all. Save you a bunch. It's comical that the install would cost more than the springs!

I use to live in Raleigh. A lot of the Import guys used Phantasm Motorsports in Raleigh. In all reality, it isn't that hard to do. I did mine last week using the DIY as a guide. It took me about 3 hours to complete everything. All you need to get(special tools) is a spring compressor and you can get that from Auto Zone through their loaner program.

you guys also all live in socal where shops are a dime a dozen. out of the east coast its not as widely spread. i know in my area a good estimate would be to figure $60-$70 a corner.

I was quoted 1500$ for BCR coilovers installed and aligned and drive test from a very reputable importing tuning shop in my area.

Quote from the dealer was $250 per spring installed(labor only). I thought that was ludicrous.

If i could do it again, I'd go coilovers.

It cost a little more for the part but you can save a bit on labor because they don't have to take the struts apart.
