Default Finally took the plunge with coil overs...

I ordered a set of BCR coil overs last night from Circuit Motorsports. Curious if there are any tips/tricks to installing them? I'm hoping to get them before the weekend so I can do the install and paint my calipers with G2 so it is driveable by Monday.

Few quick questions:
1) Is there a standard/baseline mark on these to get them close to the right height the first time? I'm hoping to avoid taking the tires off 4-5 times to get the height correct.

2) I know with most coils, they have to settle. Is this also the case with coil overs? If so, how long does the car need to sit/drive before they are settled?

I'll post pictures before, during, and after the install.

Thanks,
Todd

Just make sure you preload your coils correctly and you're set. Install is not bad, took me a few hours the first time. You'll have to remove the carpet and some plastic interior from your trunk and some plastic covers from the engine bay. I believe there is a DIY on CL somewhere... not sure..

theres a DIY in the 2IS forum which is pretty much the same. I believe BCRs already come properly preloaded but it cant hurt to check to be sure.

They are finally on. Pretty straight forward using the DIY in this section. Only issues I ran into were seperating the ball joint from the spindle and then getting the shock and spindle bolts out on the rear while under load. The only PITA about coil overs is taking the tires off multiple times to get all 4 corners to sit level. I'll post pictures next week after I get the calipers painted. I held off painting since I didn't want to run the risk of hitting the paint knowing I'd be putting the tires on/off numerous times trying to get it to sit right.

FYI - I bought these from CircuitMS and they were great to deal with.
