AWD Wobble/Vibration Solution - Testers Needed
One of our forum members has prototyped a spacer which reduces the AWD wobble and vibration many have noticed. The shop he's working with plans on selling it as a forum vendor in the future (or selling via an existing CL vendor). The moderator team is staying plugged into this effort until they've signed up, but supporting the product development that sounds like it's much needed.
We're currently looking for (2) members who would be willing to help further the R&D of the AWD wobble/vibration issue. The current design seems to work but with the wobbles/vibrations being subjective from person to person, we would like feedback from a couple other members before moving forward. From what has been observed with the prototype, the wobbles/vibrations have drastically decreased.
Ideally we would like (1) 3GS AWD member and (1) 2IS AWD member to test the spacers. Since this is still in the R&D stage, you will have to pay for the spacers to be made ($70 shipped) and either install them yourself or have a shop do it. If you are local to Philadelphia, the member working on these can help with the install or can easily explain how the install will go (very simple and should take about 10-15 minutes per side). He has been running these spacers for approx. 200 miles now with no issues.
Please keep in mind that you must have the spacers centered on the axle prior to re-installing everything or else you run the risk of damaging the wheel speed sensors which are costly ($180 per side).
If you are interested, please post in this thread!

2008 GS350 AWD lowered on BC Racing coilovers. Vehicle has 40,000 kms and has very minor vibrations lowered about 4" in front and back. Will pay for shipping to Toronto. Would be interested as the weather here definitely affects the vibration severity between warm and cold. Thank for your consideration.

What's the point of R&D if you are not willing to put in the investment? Asking your customers to pay for test samples is strange.
My apologies if this sounds rude in any way, but this is a product under development which will later on be "sold". Not given away. So your R&D requires investment which can be paid off once successfully launched and distributed.
Strange concept IMO
