Default Wheel spacers AND front caliper clearance?

My advanced apologies to the Moderator....This is a question specific to the GS model.

Hi CL -

Im sure a few of you bought some wheels that were NOT high disk....and it rubbed against the GS' front calipers. Did you buy wheel spacers to resolve this? What brand and size did you choose?

I think concensus would be H&R Spacers.

However, when I did my brake upgrade, the shop I went to didn't have H&R spacers and they sold me Project Kics which is suppose to be a good brand from Japan, they better be, cuz they cost a lot more than the H&R.

Yes, I use a very thin spacer for the front calipars - then again I have the Supra Calipars which are a little bit bigger than the stock ones. I used a 5mm spacer that came with the wheels - Volk SS7's...Any set should do fine and H&R's are good ones...

Thanks guyz -

My wheel guy told me thats one way of doing it, but he tries to avoid spacers completely. 5mm seems small enough. I dont think there any any safety issues, are there?

well it's never recommended, but 5mm is small enough and it should be just fine. i wouldn't get anything more than 10mm of course

If you dpn't have BIG BRAKE UPGRADE then YOU DON"T NEED SPACERS!!! Any 20s out there will clear GS OEM calipers.
