Warped Rotors, replaced under warrenty?
I've done a search on this matter a few times already, The only info I have found was a post from 2001 about Lexus of Seramonte replacing warped rotors under the warrenty. I have searched around locally for a dealership to replace the rotors under warrenty but they wont. My question is, is there a dealership closer north of the bay area somewhere that will do this service under the warrenty? thanks

I don't believe they will warranty the rotors - I am not sure about lexus, but I know that dealerships often blame the driver for warped rotors - agressive driving, hard braking etc.

Lexus of Seramonte will replace the rotors under warrenty, The problem is that, the dealership is a good few hours away from me, With all my time constrants it really really would help if a closer dealership did the same.

I would really be surprised if any dealer would say they would warranty replace rotors over the phone. My experience is that if, while you are under warranty, you are using a specific dealer for service and he knows you are following the book and have a problem, they will address the issue. However, normally that means pulling the rotors and turning them to bring them back to flat and putting a new set of pads with them. I can't remember any bimmer I ever owned that went more than 30,000 miles without requiring this service. If the rotors warped and cannot be machined back to spec, you may get a new set, I got them inevitably on the bimmers but they made so much money off me for service, I think it was noise level. Obviously, if you don't have stock rotors or pads, you are very likely out of luck.

Just get them turned/resurfaced - it will probably fix the problem. That can be done many places. My rotors seemed warped - after my local Lexus dealer did the resurfacing, they're perfect now.
