Default TEIN Coilovers, which one rides the best!!!

I saw there are many Tein coilovers out there, and was wondering which one to go with. I just want the best one for ride quality.....My car has 245/35/19 front, and 275/30/19 rear and i would like to drop it at lease 2 inches..Anybody has this set up give me your opinion on the ride.....

CS is the softest, then it's the Flex, then HA, then RA. starting from HA it's on the stiff side already

Hmmm, I have the same dilemma. I am trying to decide between the CS or FLEX. The spring rate on the CS are 504/448 while on the FLEX it is 559/504. However, I'm guessing that the damping is a bit stiffer on the FLEX's...plus they come with the pillowball mounts and you can lower with the FLEX's quite a bit more. Also, the FLEX's have teflon coated threaded shock bodies...rather than the rust prone "normal" TEIN (HA, CS, etc). But I don't really want to compromise the ride quality...since I'm not using this car for any type of racing competition...just for daily driving.

But I would very much like to hear the opinions of those who have ridden in FLEX and CS -equipped cars....particularly how much different the ride is.

I have the Tein CS with the EDFC controller and I must say that its been the best upgrade so far. I have mine set at the stiffest setting only because I'm very low. If I ever want to soften up I can change it with a push of a button. Almost every one I know with the TEIN Flex has there settings at the softest or close to... I've driven on both and must say that if I had a V8 with lots of torque, I would get the Flex. Since I have a 300, rolling soft and slow is what I'm after. But again, everyone will have a different opinion. Here is a pic of how low my front is on 19's...I still have a few threads left to go lower if i choose but I probably would slam hard if i hit a speed bump.

i have the cs with trd sways and ugo strutbars on 19s. i think the ride is perfect. i wouldn't mind if it was a little stiffer, but that is all depends on the person. it is also set to the stiffest setting, and with the sways, the ride got a little bit stiffer. the flex and cs are both pretty similar in price, but i got the cs because its all aluminum, and i do not plan on going super low. i have a few threads left, and with my kit, if i go to much lower, i think it would be inpractical for a daily driver.

I have CS kit too with EDFC. I love it. In fact I might like a slightly firmer damper but it is my comfortable daily driver so it's probably best. I am running 18 inch JDM wheels. The Flex is definately firmer dampening although still comfy.

Question versatile isnt always the best thing

if you know what you want no need to be versatile. a couch and a bed will always be better then a versatile sofabed ? decide what it is you want. to get from point a to point b? or to get there in style? good luck!

I thought it was the Tein Flex that were all aluminum. Am I wrong?

I spoke to 2 vendors and i was told that 90% of the Tein's sold for a GS was the Flex model.

wow, i would have assumed Tein HA's would have out sold Flex since the Flex has only been out about a year now in the USA. Maybe those figures include the japan market, but i'm no expect on this.

I also thought the same thing. Plus the Ha's retail for $1150 and the Flex's retail for$1560 which are the most expensive models for the GS .
