Default Question for RSR Spring Users

The RSR are very popular drop spring but I was wondering and for those who had the spring for a long time (years), have you had any issues with your stock suspension going out prematurely? Or any issues in the long run?

I'm curious about this also. I'd like to get springs too but don't want to risk damage to my shocks or other suspension components.

I've had mine for a year and a half with no problems at all. Mine is AWD

Had my RSR downs professionally installed for almost 6 months now, no issues. Wished i went with superdowns to be honest (wheel gap still bugs me)

No issues on my end, it has been three months. I would consider swift springs or superdowns though; the drop is better in my opinion

The bigger the drop on stock struts the more likely you will prematurely wear/blowout the struts. A one inch drop is ideal for the stock struts and suspension geometry. However it sounds like a lot of people are having good results with rsr downs.

I heard the pressure put on the stock shocks would eventually cause the shocks to go out. I, instead went with the RSR Coilovers after removing the FSPort springs.

I went with springs for just that reason. Once my stock shocks go out, I'll just change the entire suspension and get coilovers

@Phamkq, Good move. I did the same to save me some ca$h....unfortunately I regret wasting the cost of the spring install. When you do finally go with Coilovers, you will be extremely excited about the smooth ride. My biggest concern now is, "am I going to run as I pull out or into this driveway"?

1) Do the RSR Downs void your factory warranty, and 2) do they disable the Sport + suspension adjustment on the F Sport model?

Any aftermarket part can technically void your warranty if proved that that part did damage. The springs will not effect the adjustable suspension. I've had the downs on my AWD for nearly 2 years and it rides and handles like new
