Hello, I have a 2016 IS300 F Sport and was wondering if anyone can give me some suggestions on Coilovers. I've seen a lot of people using springs but i've heard springs aren't that good for you? Not so sure.

Depends on what your goal is. Don't get x, y, or z just because it has a cool name or sounds "tuner"ish.

Is your goal firmer handling and ride?

Is your goal to slam? (which ruins handling and ride)

There's all kinds of springs. stock. firmer. much firmer. if you go too firm or too low, yes you will ruin your stock dampers sooner than normal. They will overheat and operate outside of their intended operating range. premature wear.

If you go for a mild drop like I did with Tein H Tech which has slightly lower ride height and spring rates than stock then your dampers won't know the difference and you'll be good.

My advice, do not slam. Looks super cheap and ruins everything!

Seeing that OPs location is BC, Canada with 2016 IS300.. I'm going to assume it's AWD. The ONLY companies that made lowering springs for the AWD is RSR, and Tanabe. And these are for 250/350... I don't know how different a 300 will be.

I personally tried RSR's down springs and found the car to be too low, and a bit bouncy with the stock shocks. Eventually got rid of them and installed full coilovers by RSR. (as for coilovers, again, not a lot of company made an application for the AWD only J5 and RSR that I know of)

I wanted for handling and ride. I'm looking towards just a small drop, give it that touch of sporty feel. Don't want it to be that noticeable.

Yes the car is AWD, Yea, I have been very skeptical on purchasing parts cause it's a IS300. Most parts are just 250/350. But Thank You for the Input! Really appreciate it
I may look into the RSR Coils

Is the AWD springs being different just a matter of spring rates due to the different weight bias?

Still not clear on this. People say it physically fits??

TBH, I think when lowering a car, lowering springs is always a bit of a gamble... results are not always the same for every car it seems like.
Specially if you are looking for a very mild drop, coilover is your best bet. Not to mention the performance gain from the upgraded shocks.
