Default Oversized wheels

i know there is a posted thread on where fitment but I need clarifycation. I have 18x9.5 +10 wheels and I am trying to fit them onto my 96 sc400. The mechanic said that these wheels will not fit in the front. I have looked and lots of people have had wider wheels in the front than that. So how do I get them to fit?

The width isn't the issue it's the offset. +10 is an extremely aggressive offset and is sure to hit against your fender.
