I have the R1 Concepts slotted rotors front and rear for LS400 & TT rears. I have carbotech xp10 and xp8. Those pads are insane.

I checked that online just now and 04465-14150 supersedes to 04465-14390, which is the number I have used before. I will check this out tomorrow. Had no time today.

How often do the retaining clips and sliding pins (and clips for those) tend to last before they need replacing?

I just looked up your part number, and I'm still able to order it.

If installed properly, the sliding pins and retaining clips should be good for the life of most calipers. I got my calipers used and the retaining clips were mangled, so the end that goes into the pins broke off. I also noticed the sliding pins had some slight wear marks (possibly due to a sticky piston or not enough grease to allow the pad to move freely). Realistically, the pins would have been fine to reuse, but I just wanted them to be shiny again. lol

Thanks man...yeah my original ones rusted pretty good. I'm going to see what I can come up with.

For the pads, decided to go with the Akebono ceramics to keep the dust down; the down side of these pads is they have to warm up to get decent stopping.....

Post pictures of your decision.....
Thanks....will do.

It is the Lexus color "Royal Sapphire Pearl" that the paint shop mixed and applied.... I got a lot of inspiration from all the other folks that upgraded and custom painted their LS400 calipers.

I only go for slotted rotors. I'm not a fan of "drilled"
