SC300 / SC400 / LS400 / SUPRA TT - Stock Rotor & Caliper Sizing + Upgrade Info!
Hey Guys - I wanted to put this info in one place and help clear up any misconceptions about what size rotors and which calipers came on a stock SC300/SC400 based on model year. I also listed the information for the two most popular and cost effective brake upgrade platforms: The 1995 - 2000 Lexus LS400 and the 1993.5 - 1998 Toyota MKIV Supra TT. See the chart below:
A few notes:
1) All specs are USDM market cars. There are some differences in the JDM versions (Chaser/Soarer/Supra) if you want to try and get your hands on some of those pieces. "JDM, yo!"
2) Pre-1995 Lexus LS400 front calipers are not enough of an upgrade over any year stock SC300/SC400 to be worth considering so I didn't list them. Before you even ask... 1990-1992 are single pot with a ~275mm rotor and 1993-1994 are dual pot with a ~295mm rotor. Just use the ones from 1995-2000 which also have the benefit of being lightweight due to their aluminum construction.
3) NA Supra calipers are pretty much the same thing as your stock SC calipers; 2-pot with small rotors so they aren't listed as an upgrade either. Like the pre-1995 Lexus LS400 front calipers it's just not worth it.
4) TT Supra calipers will cost the most but you will have a HUGE selection of pads available for them. If you want to actually track your car on an auto-x or road course then pad selection should be a definite consideration when changing calipers.
Hope this helps some of you!

Sorry I don't understand the chart!
Which do the LS400's match up with? (specifically a 1992)
I'm pretty sure its the SC300 because I know for a fact the 11.641" front rotors DO NOT fit the LS400 (or at least mine)
