Help an old Marine guys. What right front spring for 1992 sc400?
Here's the problem.
I have been unable to source a new oem right front spring (part no. 48134-24340) for my 1992 sc400.
According to Lexus, this spring fits an sc400 produced from 05/91 thru 01/94, as well as a 1992 sc300.
The salvage yards claim that 1992-1996 spring will work, and that sides are interchangeable.
I have looked for a used one without success so far, but if the new ones from 01/94 thru 1996 will work,
(and these are available new), I would rather buy the new one.
I have new parts other than this including springs, shocks, tophats, etc for all four corners.
Can anyone confirm this, or perhaps offer other solutions/insights/experiences?
Thanks in advance,
Alan

Hey there!
it's usually better to get new springs since old springs sag over time. Now most people get coilovers instead of getting springs and what not. But what you can do is look for some springs like these http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Tanabe-N...FX00YB&vxp=mtr

Thanks Maserati,
I currently am on the GixxerDrew setup, and am going back to stock.
I have the same misgivings as you about used springs.
Having been unable to find the discontinued right front OEM spring,
I ordered a new one same as the left.
I hope it will fit, as the shocks, tophats, bump stops etc are the same both sides.

Thanks Blkexcoupe,
Kinda caught between a rock and hard place, as I cannot source the exact OEM spring(discontinued).
This will probably make a little bit stiffer on that side, but hopefully not too much,
Alan
