2007 IS350 front LCA replacement - 2007 = 2009 part?
Howdy.
I'm new here and new to Lexus. I'm working on a 2007 Lexus and need to replace the passenger front LCA. It's cracked and bent and the front tire is pushed back about 5/8 of an inch (curb got it).
It seems the auto parts stores like RockAuto, Autozone, Oriley's, etc show a cast aluminum part instead of the stamped steal part the car has on it currently. The dealer looked up the part by the VIN and was all to eager to charge me 353 dollars for the replacement arm.
After getting the part home, I searched online some more by using the dealer part which is 48620-53020 and stumbled upon a replacement MOOG part. Like all parts before, it's only listing the steal part for 2009-2013. The dealer says their part is valid for gen2 - 2006-2013. The MOOG part is less than 1/3'rd the price of the dealer item.
Is the steal LCA the same for all Gen2's?
Sorry if I missed the info if it was previously posted - did a search and didn't find what I was looking for and running out of time.
Thanks!!

Here ya go.. http://advancebay.com/products/2006-...020-oem-177-54 OEM part, albeit used, but half the price. Those aftermarket parts, i.e autozone or oreily type, don't fit well. I put one on my Sentra last year and the fitment was crap.
Oh and, I purchased a door handle from this place, shipping was fast and I received the exact part pictured.

WylieKile – The strut and sway bar mounting points on the cast aluminum piece are different than the stamped steal.
Jeff / Hank - thanks for the replies.
What I was wondering is if anyone went and bought the 2009 part and put it on a 2007 and if the parts were identical. According to the dealer, the LCA number is the same from 06-13 so I don’t see why it would be a different part. I’m seeing this as more of a dealer controlled item and resellers apps not having correct years; would certainly explain the difference in pricing.

I think it should fit just fine.

Okay, just picked up the car from the alignment shop and the MOOG piece went in just fine.
http://www.moog-suspension-parts.com/moog-rk641920 is the MOOG item and it's listed at 76.99. It's not identical to the A-arm from the dealer but pretty close. The factory replacement item has a piece of overlapped welded metal on the side by the bushing and mounting point for the strut and sway bar where as the MOOG is molded. The MOOG felt slightly heavier but my scale didn't go low enough to say exactly. The triangulated mounting points all had the same measurements and it installed fine. The part listed on the MOOG page is for a 2009 and my car is a 2007 IS350.
2007 LCA - Lexus factory part $323 dollars
VS
2009 LCA - MOOG replacement used on 2007 $77 dollars
