Default Koni FSD Shocks 2100-4130 for 2008 IS350

I have made MANY phone calls and the best I can find for LABOR ONLY to do all 4 of my shocks plus alignment is $580.

Some places wanted $800 to $900 for labor only so the $580 bid is solid and I'm just going to accept that that is what it costs. I do not want to DIY the suspension and the alignment on my ride even though I'm sure 75% of this forum will tell me how easy it is. When it comes to that job, I'd rather just pay the money to get it done by a shop.

Sooooooo. I can get all 4 KONI FSD 2100-4130 for $748 free ship / no tax. Those are the "frequency damping" whatever stuff and I have read very good reviews on them.

QUESTIONS!

Would I be foolish to use the STOCK SPRINGS on a brand new set of the KONI FSD?

Would I be better off spending just a tad more than $780 and getting the Koni "sport" with the EIBACH springs?

I do NOT want to lower the car, I want normal ride height. I want to best of both worlds in ride COMFORT primarily since my daily commute is 15mi each way.

Also - Do I need to also buy whatever the thing is that the shocks MOUNT to as new or do those come with the shocks? Shock mounts? Do I need 4?

Please provide expert guidance on what shocks I should buy, I want to place my order within the next 3-5 days.

I'd just go with the full kit that Koni has design to complement each component.

Huh... The place I was going to score the Koni FSD from says they are discontinued? Anybody with any insider info know about this?

Call one of few companies that are offering the kit and see if it is indeed discontinued.

That is the same site (which had the lowest price anywhere) that told me they were discontinued. Seems if I do decide to go with the KONI FSD that I will have to find a shop that still has them in stock. I have never spoken with KONI about this directly so I think I will call them at lunch time.

I actually want as close to OEM/FACTORY ride as possible... Would these FSD be too much "performance" geared and maybe take away a nice even balanced soft ride?

If you want an OEM ride quality, go with OEM-replacement KYBs with Tein-H tech springs.
