Default 2011 IS350 Brake Resurface?!?

Hi everyone,

First, I love the car but not the stealership. I mentioned a rear brake shake (seat of the pants) to my service tech and was informed that they recommend resurfacing all my rotors, the rear being the worst. They are nuts as the fronts are fine. I feel nothing. The brakes are 8mm all around so no need for full brake replacement, but they want $239 each (front and rear) to resurface! OMG! So I could really use some advise.

I know I can buy new rear rotors cheaper than what they want to resurface but am extremely busy and didn't plan on doing a break job on the car.

Also, is this normal? Is there something I'm missing here? Still pretty new to the car/brand.

Thanks in advance!

You can go anywhere to get rotors resurfaced. That price is ridiculous!

Like you said, you could get brand new rotors AND pads at that price! LOL!

Just get a new set of centric premium rotors. The are just as good as OEM and cost about 80$ each for the front and about $60 for the rears.

What pads would you recommend pairing with the Centric Premium? I was thinking either EBC Red's or Akebono® - Pro-ACT; due to the low brake dust

Akebono have great reviews on the forum. OEM low dust pads work just fine too.
