IS250 veering/drifting right, tech says likely caster - bent knuckle/control arm
2008 IS250 owner here, finding the vehicle drifting to the right at even slow speeds (20 MPH).
Replaced the tires and had it aligned twice, with minor tweaks, but the veering/drifting continues.
The right caster is a bit off at 7.0 and just out of spec. With visual inspection, the tech believes it's a bent knuckle, which is aluminum and prone to structural damage, i.e. bent.
He said replacing the knuckle might not resolve things, however, as it could be the control arm or other suspension component. He said another option is an after market kit, but with some Googling, it doesn't look like there's a caster kit for our IS? I see several camber kits...
Any suggestions as to whether to replace the stock knuckle/CA, or consider an after market kit? I'm just concerned about replacing the wrong part and not fixing things.
Thanks!
