Default EBC Brake Rotors

I received my EBCs today. They are the slotted black sport ones I believe. The stock rotors have slanted veins. On the drivers side they slant to the front catching the air like this //////. The EBC rotor has a "left " and a "right". When look at the EBC rotor "left" it orientates the same way or veins catching air like this ///////.

The rears have straight veins. From what I know it does not matter how they go on.

Using both EBC rotors labeled "left" out of the box orientates the slots going forward. From I know it does not matter how the slots are orientated but recommended the top of contact the pad first like I have it.

Does this look correct?

Thanks I think I got it. All the articles and bulletins say face the slanted veins to the rear wheels. That means the factory does it backwards because the stock set up on my car is veins pointed to the front on a rotor that is labeled Right. Also it does not matter which way the slots go if the veins are pointed toward the back wheels. The illustration above only addresses slots which are irrelevant.

Slots should point the front of the car, always. This is to ensure the heat is well scattered...

Otherwise:

(I know, this is a drilled rotor, not a slotted one)

In the example above of correct cooling orientation: It would be a left hand or Drivers side in North America. The rotor veins which is the main consideration are pointing backwards. Slots don't cool the rotor. In this illustration there are no slots. If the orientation of the veins is correct ie pointing to rear then the slots can go what ever direction.

EBC slots can't go whichever direction.

Basically lower part of slot (one closer to the center of disc) should attack brake pad first - otherwise you get weird noises. I made this mistake on my previous car.

The installation is correct. In other case you will heard terrible noises.
