Worth it!! I did daizen front and rear swaybar bushings today. Not much harder than changing oil. My rear bushings were deformed and a little rotted. Could see where a mechanic at some point slopped on a bunch of grease I guess to get rid of some noise. Just as easy to replace the bushings so I dont know what was up with that. (I'm the original owner btw) Fronts were in good shape, but rubber had gotten hard. Easy to feel the difference.

Jacking up the rear at the differential was a piece of cake. Lots of clearance. Just need to keep the handle low. (Sears racing jack)

Question on bushing type/name. I am on TRD blue and I need to know where I can find 19mm poly bushing for the rear. I got the right part for the front. TIA for the help.

Another bump for this old but useful thread.

I just received my Prothane sway bar bushings. They look 100% identical to the Daizen ones. Are they the same?

I installed the front sway bar bushings. In the pic you can see the OE bushing vs the prothane one.

I figure my OE bushing still looks quite ok. What do you guys think? (99 GS3 w/ 110k miles)

Haven't taken the car for a drive yet, I want to do the rears first.

Seems not, I bought the ones that are specific to the GS. They look 100% identical to the Daizen ones.

However Prothane does make universal ones too.

What do you think about the OE bushing. Still looks alright. Maybe not even worth replacing...

Edit: I did the rears now too. Took the car for a drive. It's almost a night and day difference! Great inexpensive mod. For those who haven't done it yet, go for it!!

just did the steering and sways bushing at the same time, about 2hrs total, not hard at all. For the rear I did not even remove the wheels, I jsut jacked up both sides of the car and got under it, very easy.

Part # from Prothane are:
- 181123 for fronts
- 181124 for rears

Actually they might not be specific to the GS, it's just that they have different sizes. You get grease with them too. Mine started squeaking not so long ago... really annoying.

I need to replace my front and rear sway bar bushings and am looking at the following options:

- OEM rubber bushings 48815 and 48818 from Sewell for $57.61 shipped
- Moog rubber bushings 90524 and 90537 on ebay for $38.52 shipped
- Prothane urethane bushings 181123 and 181124 on ebay for $28.78 shipped

Will the Moog perform about as well as OEM due to similar materials? If I go with the Prothane am I going to need to worry about squeaking over time. I have the Daizen LCA bushings and those squeak occasionally over speed bumps etc. Which would you choose and why? Thanks for any and all input.
