Any ideas Ls400 BBK???
So I have a 92 sc400 and just did the Ls400 brake upgrade. Well ever since then the make a metal on meta high pitch squeal at low speeds when trying to stop. I cut the dust shield to make room for them does anyone have ANY ideas what could be make that noise? Ps I got organic pads

check if you put the pads in backwards? i've seen pictures of people doing that.. that would make it metal on metal
first thing to do would be to take the wheel off and maybe caliper to see what is grinding, as that would cause the metallic noise. anything that is grinding will be shiny / noticeable if you get lucky.

Turn the rotor with the wheel off and you should be able to find the culprit.

Yeah that was going to be my next step was to turn the rotor without the wheel on.
And yup I did put that noise reducing grease on the back of the pads.
I was also thinking of upgrading the pads to the semi metallic brake pads with the built in shims instead of stick on shims. I'm thinking maybe the shims have failed in some way

Occasionally I get a squealing because whatever dust shield I have left has bent back into place and is rubbing. I'm getting it completely sawed off in a few days at a shop.
