Just curious
The kyb gr2, now called excel-g (something like that), are oem replacements. Not designed for a lowered application.
Why then, do so many people pair them with drop springs?
Why would they be any better than the stock struts?
From my understanding, kyb makes the factory oem struts for Lexus. They might actually be the same.
That's all.

kyb are actually valved 5% above oem struts. That is why most people can get away with using them on mild lowering springs. I've used them on Tanabe df210 and nf210. They lasted a lot longer with the nf210 due to the higher stance since both springs have similar spring rates.

I was considering them to pair with df210. How was the ride and how long did they last?
Will likely still go with bilstein B8 though because they are intended for this use. Any experience with bilstein?
