What brand name do you use for your rear brake pads? My big brake kit will be here soon (in matters of weeks) but Axxis won't have anything for OEM rear pad available for months! Any suggestion is welcome. Thank you.

well, a search always gives answers, but others i recall use EBC for all sorts of upgrades and endless pads for some real performance or pagids

From my understanding, Pagid pads are more toward racing compound. Though I would love to get some Axxis pads, they are not available for GS for another couple months. There are mad praise about EBC green stuff in CL, specially from Manaray. That is definitely on my list. My friend also got Hawk on his M3 and it was not bad neither. Not sure if they have any application for GS. Endless.... well, I don't have many resources for that brand but again, I'm sure their pads are GOOD. After talking to Stoptech tech, I decided to use EBC green stuff at rear with my new 14" brake kit at front with Axxis. I just can't wait any longer.

Thumbs up ;)

Raristo. Good choice wit the Axxis. They are great. I had em on my last GS. Metal masters are pretty good too. EBC are great for the rears. I had Hawk & they are very similar to the Axxis.

Paul,

Thanks for the comment. I just spoke to Stoptech and its dealer again. Apparently there was a misunderstanding when I spoke to the rep. They now have the Axxis Deluxe pads available and those will be the pads I'm going to use. It will take approximately 2 weeks to make. Hopefully I will put them on before my friend's wedding.

Hey RAristo, you getting StopTech brakes? I'm interested in them too. Are you getting the 355mm ones for the front? Any thoughts on them vs. Brembos?

bit,

Yes, it will be the 355mm kit with slotted rotors front and rear, Axxis Ultimate pads front and Axxis Deluxe pads rear, Goodridge brake lines. I haven't really decided the color and I better figure out soon before tomorrow morning!! I never have any Brembo setup except their rotors so I couldn't provide any insight on that. But I assume the 355mm kit will provide GOOD stopping power. That's just a start.... Maybe I will upgrade the rear calipers too.
