Default Rear upper control arms

Ok. The squeaking from the rear upper control arms is driving me nuts. I've been looking around and it seems like my only options are prothane bushings, expensive OEM RUCA's, or aggressive ones that seem more for drifting. All seem to involve cursing while trying to get them out (even with some of the tips on the forum) or just shelling out money for someone else to do it (recommended by some who have done it themselves).

Did that pretty much cover my options or does someone else have any other routes?

I was in the same boat not too long ago. I wasn't shelling out for oem arms nor going poly. There is a guy named Peter Taplin from Australia who makes bushings under the name branz. He kind of picked up where vlamos bushings left off (vlamos no longer produces them). I paid $80 for a set of rear upper bushings and $100 for a set of front upper bushings. Shipping isn't cheap coming from Australia. Pm me if you want his contact info.

Protheses are actually kinda simple if you set them on fire.

Seriously.

Set the OEM bushings on fire with a torch and go buy a pizza. By the time you finish eating, the bushing sleeve will magically be sitting on the ground next to a small pile of black ash. No hard work required. The hardest part is actually getting access to them since the bolts are wedged up in no-mans-land in between the subframe and unibody and use this genius star ring-retainer thingy that probably worked really well until rust took over. I ended up dropping my entire subframe.
