Cool man I just posted something similar below sorry.
The only thing I see here is your threaded sleve will be crushed by the weight of your car, where the bottom of the sleeve meets the shock will crack and will leave you stranded. Smash out those spring seats off the stock shocks and let the sleve slide over the shock. It would be much safer!
The fronts need a little work because the front shock is not a wide, so shock seats have to be moded for proper seating of the inner sleve

So... Oddly enough, I just helped a friend install something similar in his integra. It handles better than the blown struts that were there, but I wasn't too comfortable with the whole process. Even struts that are designed for it feel wobbly. Anyway, good luck op and stay safe.

Interesting.. Does it have much adjustability now or is the height pretty set? I'm by no means a fan boy of brands and making sure I have the most expensive coil overs or wheels so I can relate when trying to save a buck but I don't know that this is the safest way. It could totally work forever as intended or, it could fail and ruin a tire, wheel, fender, control arm or worse, crash it.. Hopefully it stays together since it looks fairly solid. Keep us posted man, good luck!

I dig it, some real pioneering right there. would have been interested to see it with some KYB's at least though.
how does it ride? taken any good bumps and how did it do?

The car still holding and riding smooth this thread was a basic setup people been running on how drop been for the last 15 years. You can use kyb or any set up for your strut selection. What Evers in your budget. It also a go way to replace blown struts faster without a expensive replacement or rebuild

It handle bumps very well. The thing I like there is no bouncing like your in a low rider

Maximas weigh between 2700-3000lbs. Big weight difference.

Okay.....so a lot of guys actually do this in other cars. Done a lot in the miata world especially.

First! What you did was use the ebay sleeves. I have seen these adjuster rings get crushed on the weight of the cars. I think you should have gotten better sleeves/springs. You could have easily ordered it off of summit.

The down side is the price would go up substantially.
