Default Centric v Advics Calipers?

Working on a project to upgrade the front calipers on my IS250. Rock Auto is sold out of the Advics brand calipers but they have the re-built Centric Calipers.

Can anyone comment as to the difference and if one is better than the other and if I should wait for the Advics to get back in stock?

I think you're going into the 2015 MY section. Try going into 2014 MY IS 350. There is the A1-Cardone front calipers in stock.

Centric are usually a little better in cosmetic quality but they both function fine. Centric also usually come loaded, meaning it comes with pads.

Can't say anything about the Centric calipers, but the stock 4 pot Advics from IS350/GS350/RC350 are the proven solid performers for a 208 hp IS250. Two friends of mine have done the complete front brake conversions for their 3IS' (GS350 calipers, 330 mm rotors, pads, dust covers) and they cannot be happier now. The stopping power offered by this setup covers any situations and driving manners for the IS250 owner, so can't see any reason of installing something more powerful on this car. Plus for the Advics calipers is that they are an OEM part - it means a great choice of the original and aftermarket pads and spares unlike the non-OEM calipers, which often require specific pads.

A1-CARDONE Reman. Calipers uses the ADVICS cores. They're re-manufactured OEM calipers, well the ones I received were anyways.

Imprezario is spot on about the performance of these calipers. I took them on the track over the past weekend and they worked great.
