Default Help on Front Driver's Side Brake Noise

Hey guys,
I noticed some squeaking noises coming from my driver side when I apply the brakes to come to a stop. I've already replaced the whole caliper and pads. I know the rotor needs to be resurfaced. Can all that noise be related to that only? I've attached a video.

Thanks for your time and help fellow members,
Johnny

Something is definitely scrapping. Have you followed the break-in procedure for new pads/rotors? If not, we advise you do so. Next would be to make sure the pads are seated in the calipers very snug without any wiggle room. Check to see if the brake pad surface is clear of any debris as well and examine the brake surface to make sure it is smooth. You will notice unusual wear on the rotors with that kind of scrapping noise. Report back to us on your findings.

Thanks for your feedback and help Houston. I drove it up to my mechanic since I needed the rotors resurfaced anyway and he said he would check them out. I'll let you guys know what it turned out to be. I hope it's just the seating of the pads and a cheap fix.

I never knew about the break-in procedure and just read it now. pretty cool. Learn something new every day.

Houston,
My mechanic told me the rotors need to be resurfaced, but the wheel hub, bearings, and seal need to be replaced on the driver's side. :/ Sucks because it's pricey. He said he would hear the noise by spinning the rotor in the hub.

Ouch. Replacing the wheel hub may be a bit much but maybe there is something we're not seeing. Good thing you were able to find out what it was.
