Question Coilover Recommendations?

I just picked up a 2000 SC300 2JZGTE VVTi and the struts are blown. I want a setup that can handle a circuit. I'm not too picky about the ride comfort, but I also don't want to break the car from the roughness. Any recommendations? I've been eyeing the Tien Mono-Tubes and D2s. If there are better I would prefer them.

I've looked at a few threads and I found a set called GodSpeed. Has anyone tracked these?

For tracking I would go with kw v3 or hks coilovers. There is also a set of 1 off custom built tein SRC coils for sale in the 1 GS forum that would fit on a sc. I wish I had the cash to spare to buy them right now.

whatever you buy don't waste your money on PBM. they get worse by the day. had issues the day I installed them and took a while to get it resolved with PSM. all the great things ive heard of them its a disappointment.

I've heard many good things about feal coilovers and the feal 441s for the supra/sc chassis have pretty stiff spring rates. Personally my next setup I'm going to get is fortune auto with the swift springs upgrade and that's what I would recommend for a great all around coilover (ridden in multiples cars with this setup).

what spring rates have you decided on? I may have my shocks re valved by feal suspension and use swift springs.

I'm probably going to go with a 14/10 setup as I have no plans on tracking my SC and the 14/10 setup should be more than ample for the streets.

I've read that a 18/10 setup is popular for people who are likely to do more "aggresive driving".

I have the godspeed ones.....havent tracked them...I have no complaints about them and I drive the car pretty hard on rough and patchy pittsburgh roads.....

But the honda crowd praises these coilovers for track days...

Any coilovers will make a huge difference over struts/springs

I run BC Racing on my 400 and 300. I love the setup, beat the hell out of them on NYC's moon like roads and they hold fine. They review incredibly well. It's not just me that love them....

I have BC Racing as well. Got em because it was a pretty good price. Their a huge improvement over stock and handle well for spirited driving. Not sure about the track, but I would assume they can hold up. I got em on a stiffer setting so I tend to be a little more careful on bumps and bad roads haha.

I heard about godspeed and read horror stories about their stuff breaking from the 240 guys. I guess its the "you get what you pay for" ordeal.

No reason to bash a brand of coilovers when you have no experience with them.....just an fyi Godspeed the company has completed changed focus to making only high quality suspension only parts....

The godspeed mono rs coilover are not that cheap.......they cost $800.....and the price you pay for parts doesnt always mean the quality is better/worse....

I have Stance Coilovers on my car. its priced reasonable and it has an adjustable **** on each coilover to adjust the stiffness. Never tracked them but the spring rates come stiffer than other coilover brands ive seen. 18K up front and 10K in the rear
