All i can say is you get what you pay for when it comes to coils in my experience, I went with the RSR and am very glad I did, Ride great, i had BC on my older IS and got rid of them in a week...

Never heard great things about BC Coils. RSR seems to be the standard here. I have J5's myself

Everyone is on RS*R bandwagon...

People hear what they want to hear. There is nothing wrong with BC for daily use...RSR and J5 are just expensive given the fact that the car will most likely never see a track day. Both are made of premium materials which great but...but do you really benefit from that at that cost?

to me that is like shopping for the cheapest Doctor. you get what you pay for, if you want some half *** surgery then thats what you get. find the one that is best for you and that you get good reviews about. Some people baby their cars and may not like to go the cheapest route...
Just saying...

I guess the question is...what made you switch? What was it that you didn't like about BC? What do the RSR do better?

Did you by any chance have the Swift springs? Where was the clunk coming from?

Most of the time, the clunks are due to something being lose (usually dampering nut on top) or incorrect pre-load set-up...

That's not true. Even on daily use, when you're on the rougher roads, going through bumps and dips everyday - you will see the immediate effects on higher quality coils. Less noise, bounce, etc. And if you're owning the car (as opposed to a lease), the long term effects are even more prominent in premium coils vs budget ones.

Well with everyone's logic on in this thread. Why spend 50k on a car and get some cheap $1800 rsr's?
There are lots of setups with external reservoirs for $5000+. Heck get a set with damper control from inside the car. Don't settle for some budget rsr's.
Where do you draw the line? Do a blind test and I bet half these kids wouldnt know the difference between a chopped coil and some KW's. I guess my point is get the BC's
