Default Let me see those brakes!!! (tons of pics, the BRAKE thread)

Can those with upgraded brakesplease take pics of your car and front wheels showing the brakes behind the wheel. I looked around and saw few pics if any of completed brake upgrades. I am hoping to upgrade my brakes this summer.

One other thing, it seems adding SS brakelines will increase pedal feedback (like the steering ECU), is this the first thing I should do before I upgrade my calipers and rotors, thanks.

****Update Challenge*** Can u take pics of the car moving focusing on the brakes?

Sick,

Just took a pic for you. Sorry about the cleaness. It's been riaining today. Most brake upgrades come with steel lines. It's a must for all brake upgrades.

J, that is the Supra upgrade correct, with 18s? My Weds from my understanding won't clear, so either I will be needing new wheels soon or maybe the HR spacer will work. This pic is exactly what I would like to see (and for other members as well). Thanks a million.

Sick,

It's 20s. That's why the 12.7" rotor looks small

Sick,

Another Supra TT upgrade but with drilled and slotted rotors and silver paint (I like black better, will repaint them soon).

My wheels are 18" & high disk; I still needed a small spacer for them to fit .

My advice on the SS lines is that if you're going to change your brakes out within the next 6 months, doing the SS brake lines now will be a waste of money. The difference is pretty minor (I did that as my first step on stock brakes before upgrading).

DaveGS4 - What's the offset of your wheels ? and did you do any pre-measurements before you ordered to make sure they would fit ?

I was told to measure from the hub to the spokes to get a measurement. Still haven't done it yet, but it looks like it will fit.

Just trying to compare notes before i make the move. THANKS

The Piaa Rozza Altras I have up front are 18x8, high disk +37 offset.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) these were a brand new model of wheels just released in Japan when I got them and no one else had them (or still has them as far as I know). Since they're JDM wheels, didn't have access to a physical set of them until mine arrived. Both GS4Will and I looked carefully at the spoke design, etc and were comfortable that it would fit. They're just a TINY bit short of clearing the wheel... I've got the smallest spacer made on them.

The TT calipers are pretty big - don't underestimate 'em. When I was looking for a pic of the calipers I also found one closer up where you can see a little chip/scuff in the caliper paint where the wheel hit it upon initial install .

Not SupraTT or Brembo, but related to brakes...thought you might want to see some other options...

AP Racing - 6 Piston - 13.5" Slotted & Cross Drilled Rotors

StopTech - 4 Piston - 14" Slotted Rotors - Sorry, haven't installed these yet...going on the project car.

I was wondering too. What happened with your BR5 18/19 setups?
Care to share?

I don't want to hijack Sick's thread, but here's the short version:

wheel accident, 17s on, since addicted to performance and ride of 17s, reluctant to fix Lows.
