Default IS250 RWD brake upgrade to IS350

Has anyone done a brake upgrade from the IS250 to the IS350?

2013 and below has an option you can purchase, but not the 2014+

They will work but I might suggest rock auto where you can get loaded IS350 calipers for $500 per pair or you can get a pair of calipers without pads for $260 per pair and get a good set of stoptech pads for $50. Boom, full brake upgrade for under $350.

What's the quality of those brakes? I want to make sure they are reliable. Are the sizes about the same to the IS350?

Yes the sizes are the same because they are actual IS350 calipers. They are just remanufactured. They should come with a warranty. If and when the seals finally wear out you can just replace them for about 10 bucks in parts. Normal caliper maintenance.

if you do this upgrade do you need to get bigger rotors or are they the same size at the 350?

Definitely. 250's rotors are 296/280 mm front and rear, and 350's rotors are 330/310 mm. By the way, rears of 250 are non vented unlike 350's ones.

Is this a worthy upgrade or can you not really notice a difference?

I think they worth. Ordered a four corner set taken from a brand new RC350 from Japan, gonna get them professionally painted and installed in May.

Well that totally depends. Are you running out of brake because of overheating during tracking or canyon runs? Are you overheating your pads and/or fluid? If yes, these will prevent that. If no, these will do nothing for you.

Thanks for the into. Im not tracking the car, nor doing canyon runs. I just love the look of the bigger breaks and rotors.

But I do beat on her and play in the turns when I can.
