Default cx racing coilovers looove them

Hey guys,

Little suspension review for my sc400
18x9.5
Offset unknown
225/45/18

Did a little research on here and s few z forums as far as ride heigh ability on the cxracing coilovers. Saw a few on here but no one posted how low you can go haha. I just care about pure slammage. No ****s given on how smooth of a ride i have. Or how ****ed my passengers back will be.

My sc400 is just a cruiser and daily driver/rainy day drifter.

Install took 2 hours with rolling fenders total. Easy peazy!!

So onto a little review. And im no suspension guru. I know i was going to be running as low as i could and was in a rush friday night for event sat morning. So i just cranked the dampening up all the way. Actually wasnt too bad haha. Some roads here are bad but nothing that crazy. Like the east coast. All the recoil felt nice.the springs are a little soft.

I assume because their "sc" kit is really a mk4 supra kit. So maybe the front is designed speing rate wise enough for the weight of the 1uz? And or i think ny buddy helping me install may have ****ed with the spring rate by "raising" the spring? To try and raise the car lol, I was like da fuq? When he told.me he did that. So I'm going to mess with it a bit more here in the next few days. And see whats up. But we got the front raised up after a bit.

The car now! How im driving it. Front is still to come down about 1/2" still. Gonna let springs sit a week for some sag first.

Lol at the front was like SAVE ME
cx racing coilovers looove them-hxwopb1.jpg

The rear tucking it back like silence of the lambs

The front all the way down without any sagging and i think bumpstops...if it has bumpstops ima cut em out

it seems that your buddy messed up your setup and why did you all this in 2 hours ? fender rolling needs some time to warm them up and roll them slowly or your paint will crack
and yes , even my BC racing coils are MKIV supra , we share the same platform

but i can't see any pics only discriptions i don't understand "pancaked" "P**** tuck" ect

Oh no we rolled everything right. We had it off the ground and as i installed the coilovers on one corner he had a heat gun and fender roller going on the other side. It went really fast. Ive done tons of suspension installs from other coilovers to bags and other rando stuff. So this swap out was cake

And we did best we could as far as chipping paint. The previous owner had it repainted and it was done SOOO BAD. It was resprayed with even the little black plastic fender liners on it.. (the black strip on the fender lip that is screwed on). It was a half *** respray. Needless to say its detting painted again here soon. This time right!

I know the mk4 supra and sc share the same platform. But im sure the 1uz weighs more than a 2jz. But ill get all of my spring stuff sorted here soon. Just super glad to have everything on.

And lemme fix the pictures. I just mean pancaked by slammed basically on the ground my front bumper no lip was less than 2" off.

You've been busy since we last talked! Wheels are a nice improvement, even if I'm not a fan of "slammed."

I believe the 1UZ actually weighs less than the 2JZ (aluminum vs cast), but the SC400 weighs 100 lbs more than the SC300 overall due to things like bigger brakes, extra header, etc. So, the amount of weight over your front coilovers may not differ from what they're spec'd for by much.

Nice drop, just dont damage your oil pan or your new suspension, wiring etc...
Just be cautious on bumps and road dips, it can damage your oilpan..

Oh i know, Ive been driving slammed cars a while. first one was Audi a4 on bags that would break reflectors off the freeway when changing lanes haha.

Now that i have this car down i have to watch the road conditions like a hawk. Haha im constantly swerving and taking the high points on the freeway avoiding the crowns haha.

On the oil pan thing. Ive looked under the car and ima look again but it seems like toyota was smart on this one and the oil pan is kinda sucked up a little bit. One guy told me to be careful of my oilpan on the 1uz as its a 400. And when we were working on it this weekend the only thing i have hitting and scraping now is my exhaust. lol

Gonna drop the front and rear more here soon

Yeah, I think you would shred your subframe before doing damage to the oil pan.
