Default Thumping noise when braking

I posted this on the regular 3IS thread.

When I apply the brakes on my car, it makes a thumping noise and there is a slight vibration. But once im stopped its fine.
im not sure if I have warped rotors and what, I hope they arnt since I bought the rotors back in September. Anyone have this issue when braking?

I have stoptech drilled/slotted rotors and street pads.

Any help would be much appreciated

If you installed the rotors and pads I would take it to a shop to get checked out. If you got it done at a shop, either take it back to double check or take it to another shop to check it there. How long has it been since you installed the new brakes?

Slotted rotors can sometimes be a pain to keep from vibrating. Its very common to get pad deposits in there. I'd try a set of blanks and see if that cures it. You can get a pair for about $50 to $60.
