Default Calling all RCA gurus... I have a question

Hey guys, so I've been hearing a lot on here about RCAs on cars that are already lowered, but can you still put RCAs on a car that has stock suspension? Will it lower the wheel gap by a good amount? How will it effect suspension geometry and handling/ride comfort?

Also, if I do get these, will I need figs toe links for the rear? Does it depend on the thickness of the RCA? How about 17mm vs 34mm?

RCA will lower your car without changing how it rides. It can offer some improvement in roll stiffness.

You will need Toe links in the rear - you can use the Megan ones for the IS300

Thank you for the helpful reply. Do you need toe links even if you only lower the car 17mm? Or is it only for larger drops that the extra adjustment Is needed?

17mm will not be very much to take away the huge gap of the GS' stock suspension, I've not tried it but I suspect it could work without toe links, if you go 30mm the toe adjustment might run out.

so im going out on a limb and assuming you are talking about rear roll center adjusters? if so, factory toe adjustment will be sufficient.

After looking around at my options I've decided to go 40mm in the front and 30mm in the rear.

Yes that's exactly what I'm talking about lol and are you speaking from personal experience? 30mm rear drop on stock suspension?

From my personal experience of owning 3 2GS's over 10+ years, if you use 30mm rear RCA and do not lower it any more (i.e. springs, etc.) then with some fiddling you should be able to get it to 0 toe, but if you lower it more you will need toe links.

I don't plan on lowering it any more than that, I think the drop provided by the RCAs is all I need. Thanks for your reply!

Depending on the RCAs, some add some camber, so also want to check on that. Everything else is spot on!

Almost every RCA uses inserts that allow camber change.
