Default BCR coilovers settings compilation

Since BCR coilovers are very popular on here, I would like to compile a list of various settings that people run on here. Please keep it simple with the following parameters:
Lowered: X inch front, X inch rear.
Spring rates: X kg/mm front, X kg/mm rear.
Dampening settings: X clicks front, X clicks rear. (Count away from stiffest)
Rubbing: Yes/No and if yes, how frequently?
Comments: Whatever you want to share.

I'll start mine, my IS250 2012 is a daily driver on bad CA road so here is my settings:
Lowered: 1.5 inch front, 1.3 inch rear.
Spring rates: 12 kg/mm front, 10 kg/mm rear.
Dampening settings: 18 clicks front, 22 clicks rear. (away from stiffest)
Rubbing: Yes, on high speed bump, or hard and tight cornering.
Comment: Very comfortable settings for a daily driver, absorb bumps and bad CA roads well but occasionally rub. Slowing down more reduces rubbing or sometimes eliminate it all together.

Alright, let's fire away and share share share

Lowered: 2.5 inch front, 2.7 inch rear.
Spring rates: 12 kg/mm front, 8 kg/mm rear.
Dampening settings: 12 clicks front, 18 clicks rear. (Count away from stiffest)
Rubbing: Yes/No and if yes, how frequently? Only on the driver side on VERY hard cornering. No wheel liners, shaved bumper tabs, and pulled fenders.
Comments: Daily driven on 19s with 35 series tires inflated to ~35 psi.

any of you guys have camber kits or are you just relying on natural camber? Tire wear?

Also, I'm looking at going with 14k/10k ... how stiff do you guys find yours? seeing as I'd be upping my front and rear by 2k from yours..?

any of you guys have camber kits or are you just relying on natural camber? Yes, Megan rear camber arms installed, but to the factory length currently. Basically natural camber.

Tire wear? Yes, but minimal. I get symmetrical tires too so I can "flip" them once getting close to the cords.

Also, I'm looking at going with 14k/10k ... how stiff do you guys find yours? seeing as I'd be upping my front and rear by 2k from yours My 12k/8k setup is very DD-friendly; I should have opts for the 14k/10k at least for my driving style.

I don't think I need camber kit in my case. My natural camber is running about -1.5 to -1.9 which is not that bad for inner tire wear. Some negative camber makes the car grip in corner better. Just make sure you 0 out all the toes when you do alignment like I did recently.

Like I said, 12k/10k default set up works very well and very comfortable (better than lower spring set up) for my daily driving as well as aggressive cornering here and there.

Personally, i think 10k works nice on the rear because I never have any rubbing issue at all even with 22 clicks dampening settings (very soft) while the front should be at least 12k because of the engine weight. 14k/10k should be good set up especially if you lower a lot in the front. I chose 12k/10k for a bit more comfort.

posted this in another thread:

The reason I was asking is because I purchased my camber kits first (i got a good deal on both), however, now Im tight on my budget to actually purchase the Coilovers to lower my car in the first place!
Basically I have camber kits, but no coils...

Curious if I should still wait and save up more OR sell my camber kits so I have enough to buy coils and risk tire wear (if there really is a risk in the first place)

you know what the roads can be like in alberta after they plow the snow. Like driving over thousands of small potholes. I find 13k/9k can be kind of harsh at times, even with the dampers at the lowest setting (in the interests of full disclosure, they are not BCR), so you might not care for 14k/10k in the winter.
