Default Will 285/25/20 not rub after lowering?

The car is a 2015 IS250 with a 20x10 rear wheel and the offset +40. The tire is a Toyo 285/25/20. The big question is: can i lower the car with-out rubbing? Help will be appreciated.

The fronts are 20x8.5 +35. The tires are 245/30/20. Same Toyo's.

Please help.

285 sounds a bit much, especially if you are planning on lowering it. Rubbing will all depend on the drop you go with too. Half-downs or H-Tech's might not rub as where H-Techs and Super Downs or Downs will.

According to the Discount Tire calculator, you will be more than an inch wider and more than half an inch in diameter than OEM. This usually gives you a ballpark estimate of what tire sizes to go with.

I really appreciate the reply. I will hope someone has been down this path before and can chime in what will or will not work.

I've asked similar questions I have a 20x10.5 rear +45 with a 275/30/20 rear tire, from what I have read and calculated the half-downs and the tanabe springs seem to be the only thing that will work

I'm kind of nervous to be the test mule. There must be some one out there that has your set up and mine that can confidently say it will or will not work and what spring to purchase.

I've looked for a long time.... However I did have a thread in this section showing that 2nd Gen IS coilovers can be used on our cars but I don't plan to have the car long enough for me to justify the cost
