Default Possible budget bigger brake upgrade - 2014+ GS 350 F-sport

So recently I had been researching upgrades to my front braking system without forking over thousands for a true BBK. I came across pictures of the 2-pc OEM rotors and calipers of the 2014+ GS 350 F-sport. Lighter AND larger 14" front rotors and very similar calipers to that of our IS 350.

Started looking at the possible fitment, and come to find out the 2006+ IS 350 front knuckles and the 2014+ GS 350 F-sport knuckles seem to be the exact same part # :

P/N : 43501C
http://is.sewellparts.com/oem-catalo...S350-2006.html

P/N : 43501C
http://lexus.sewellparts.com/oem-cat...S350-2014.html

Though right now Sewell's website doesn't exactly give the correct listings for the F-sport parts (example : the site doesn't list the 2-pc rotors), I've got an email out to Sewell Lexus to give me clarification on the part #s for the F-sport rotors and calipers.

To me, it would seem to be a simple bolt-on affair; you might have to purchase the brake dust covers too, but in time we shall see.

Posting this in hopes that others might look into this and provide additional insight on this possible upgrade!

^Well, no; but the project is still planned to continue forward. Just need to find time to visit the local dealership and talk to the parts mgr and work something out in case the parts do not work.

I had looked into this back in 2012 when the 4GS first came out, I expect everything should fit relatively easily. Main reason I never pulled the trigger was the requirement for 18-inch wheels when everything I run is 17-inch.

Look forward to seeing it done.

^This is definitely on my Too Do List. Just need the extra time/money to figure things out. I guess I can order just one rotor and caliper and start from there. I love the fact that an OEM 2-pc rotor is <$100!

Well, the parts mgr I need to speak with for this one-off special deal is yet AGAIN on vacation all week! I was all set to show up there today to talk about my plans, but thought it best to call her up first. And what do you know, she is again not there! Grrrrr!

BTW, perhaps both Sewell's site AND my local dealership had the wrong pricing in their systems previously for the front rotors because now they're near $300 each w/o the Sewell CL member discount.

Looks like the '15 RC350 F-sport has the same brake pkg; same rotors and calipers.

I thought sub $100 2 piece rotors were to cheap. Still at under $300 that is a really good price compared to anything else out there. Really interested if this works.

^Well honestly, when I went up to my local dealership and asked for the specific part numbers, he said they were under $100 per rotor. I should have got them right then; but that was right before Christmas time.

Anyhow, here's another thread in the 4th gen GS forum where another member got them for under $100. I had asked him if he still had them; unfortunately the dealership had already taken them back because the BBK kit didn't work out on his AWD model.

"My dealer quoted me $82 ea for the front and the calipers are $315 EA isn't that bad to keep OEM."

Are these calipers bigger than the IS350 calipers?
I know the stock 17" on the AWD 2IS fits over the IS350 calipers.

Yes, they are larger brakes than the IS350. The base GS350 has the same brakes as the IS350, the RWD GS350 F-Sport has larger brakes with the 2-piece rotors (same goes for the RC350).
