Suspension noise
Alright I need your help CL. I drive a 2003 gs 300 with 149xxx miles. I bought it in the summer. No service records but I've been putting work into it. I've recently come across a noise coming from my passenger front end. The noise seems to only happen when the right side goes in first. Like in my drive way when I turn into it. The noise is similar to that of breaks when they grind in the morning when releasing them. I can also feel it in the floor board, well my girlfriend can. Any input from the GS community would help. Thanks!

Is your GS lowered or is it all stock?
I would get the car up in the air and just give everything a quick once over. If LCA bushings, or upper/lower ball joints are worn they will creak/squeek and make noises so that could be your issue.
If it hasnt had them replaced already your a bit overdue on the ball joints.

Marklopez: do you have similar symptoms like I described in this thread? https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...eleration.html
I found (but I'm not 100% sure) the problem is with engine MOUNTING, but I will replace it in next few days and I will let you know.
So check your mounting, mine (on the driver side) is wet, and I hope this is the reason.

I'm also noticing that when I make a wide left turn to make a u turn i can fell the slight grind. I like I said it sounds just like my breaks in the morning when I release them. It's not a screetch or a creak noise. I can't replace them untill I come back from Baltimore. So hopefully I can drive it 5 more days and I'll be okay. I appreciate everyone's help.

Is the scraping feeling in the steering wheel?
Maybe somehow your steering knuckle is contacting something?
I havent really looked under my GS to see if its close to anything, but I know on my 240 that when the engine mounts were worn the engine would shift a bit and cause the downpipe to touch the steering knuckle in certain situations and would scrape/bind up a bit.
Also maybe just double check your wheels are torqued properly? If one is loose maybe its shifting a bit when turning?
Kind of an odd scenario but I would just double check everything, brakes, suspension, steering, just look it all over make sure nothing seems odd.
