Default Anyone use OEM Lexus (Toyota) brake pads?

Hey guys,

I recently had the front replaced with OEM Lexus (toyota) pads I purchased from Longo Lexus. Do you know how long they are supposed to last? The strange this is that the guy at the service desk said that the brake are organic and contain asbestos.

My mechanic said its impossible as the front does most of the braking and that it had to me semi-metallic. Sure enough when my mechanic looked at it, there was definitely little metal pieces on the brake. Any suggestions or opinions would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks

My rear OEM pads last around 35000 miles and the front, I'm not sure 'cause they are still good.

I thought asbestos in any new products are ILLEGAL now in CA.

I did EBC's in the front. I have the Lexus OEM's in the rears, rears changed out at 55k-60k and they had some life left in them.
