Default Deciding whether to get Megan Coilovers or Tein Basic Street Coilovers!

I am deciding on getting my first coilovers for my GS300. I've seen reviews on the megans and no one seems to have any problems with them and I've seen couple for teins and they say its great as well. So I just wanted to see which one would be great, I am on a budget around 700. I am trying to look for something I can drive daily.

If you have megans or teins please post a picture below on height settings, reviews on it, and how many miles on it and yeah.. Thanks! I'm also new to this site and I just wanted peoples opinion.

Not sure, I went with BC Xdrops, so far so good. Not sure your 700 budget is going to cut it for the brands you are looking for. Am I missing something?

I'd just save up and get something better, honestly. The BC's that 702GS mentioned are only a few hundred extra and a lot better quality than either the Megans or Teins. They're also customizable, which is another plus.

This is from the SC side of the forum, but it provides a good opinion.

If anything, people who are concerned with track times are willing to pay more money to get an extra gain of who knows what. This is why real race cars (F1, NASCAR, etc) are so expensive.

Tein is one of the most overpriced junk you can buy. In Japan, they are regarded as the equivalent to the APC stuff for Hondas. Zeal coilovers are nice in quality, but their shock performance isn't meant to be stellar out of the box (hardly anything is). If you want top notch performance, you have to revalve your dampers to match your car. Zeal will do this for your and it will transform your car, but it also cost money.

If you just want to drop your car low with a budget in mind, then the Megans are fine. If you need the extra omph, look for alternatives. The majority of SC owners DD their cars.
