Lightbulb Solved GS problem with steering

Well, I got my car back and it appears that there was nothing broken with the tie rods. It looks like it was 4 bolts that were NOT tightned when my replacement softer springs from Tein. Since they were not tightned, they just fell off. Luckily, the last one fell as I pulled in to the front lawn.... Hence I came out to move it and the passenger side wheel was at almost 180* while the driver side was straight. I am considering myself lucky as well as Tein for me not getting in a car wreck...... Word of cauton... always check your stuff when anyone does work on your ride... Just some useful info. It could have really been a bad situation... It's all good though, I know they were just helping me out by replacing the springs. Which are much better and softer, so props for that.

Hey good to hear that you have your car back and it is undamaged. Glad that you were lucky and didn't have an accident. I understand that any mechanic can make a mistake, but wow, that was a big one!

How did you go about changing out the springs?

How much softer spring rate are they than the stock Flex springs?

Thanx.

Thumbs up Springs

Well, they are softer. How much I really can't say... but it is noticeable. Also I am not at the softest setting. As far as the replacement of the springs, Tein did it at their R&D Shop here. It was more or less a goodwill replacement on their part to hook me up like that. If you might recall, I was suffering from a ride change when I went from stock to low on the GS 17's. I went over to their shop and they decided to replace my springs for a softer set. They know their stuff there
